A picture is worth a thousand words…  And yours might be worth $500! Markquart Menomonie is excited to announce the Jeep Summer Photo Contest beginning June 9, 2021 and ending July 9, 2021. Using your camera or phone, snap a creative photo of your Jeep and email it to PhotoContest@markquart.com, then post it on Facebook and tag @MarkquartofMenomonie. In the email, be sure to include your full name, phone number, year & model of your Jeep, and where the photo was taken. Each person is allowed to submit a total of five photos throughout the duration of the contest. Whether you’re going off-roading, camping, chasing the sunset, or whatever else you love to do in summer, we want to see your photos! The last day to submit your entries is July 9th. The Markquart team will select the top 6 photos based on creativity and aesthetics. These 6 images will be posted to Facebook and voted on by the public. Time to load up the family in your Jeep and head out for some Menomonie area fall fun! There are several local pumpkin patches and apple orchards to help you take in the season. Govin’s Farm Govin’s farm offers fun for all ages. From their 11-acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, pumpkin cannon, and more. Thrill-seekers will get their fix at Govin’s Farm Twisted Tales of Horror Haunted Maze taking place every Friday and Saturday evening through October 31 st. This maze takes place in their cornfield, but those who don’t like a scare can take part in their magic show and a scavenger hunt. Maple Leaf Orchard At the Maple Leaf Orchard in Spring Valley, you can pick apples, feast on homemade desserts, enjoy a seasonal hayride, and much more! Be sure to stop in at the shop or pick your own grapes, apples, and mums. The orchard is open 10-5 daily through October 31 st. Menomonie Farmer’s Market The fresh produce season is coming to an end, but you still have time to take in the Menomonie Farmer’s Market. Saturdays and Wednesdays through October 17 th local producers bring their flowers, fresh produce, dairy, baked goods, and more on the corner of 8 th street and 9 th avenue. V alley Pasture Farm & Pumpkin Patch Valley Pasture Farm is the perfect place to enjoy some wholesome fall fun. They offer yard games, a four-acre corn maze, a pumpkin patch, mini-golf, and so much more. Your kiddos will love their 80ft slide, jumping pillow, and farm animals. You can save a dollar on admission by bringing a non-perishable food item for donation to Stepping Stones of Dunn County. Whether you prefer to load up on pumpkins, or would rather load up on fresh Apple Crisp, rest assured your vehicle from Markquart Menomonie is equipped to handle it all. Coming Spring 2021 On Monday, June 15 th, community leaders, Markquart employees, and the Markquart family gathered to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the new Markquart Menomonie Location. We have been operating at our current location on Stout Street since 2018, with limited space and expansion opportunities. The new dealership will be approximately 30,000 square feet, feature a modern design, and offer state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. The new building will be built by Market & Johnson and located on Oak Avenue West near the AmericInn Hotel and Fleet Farm. The construction is expected to take approximately 8 months to complete and be finished in the spring of 2021. Amenities include: 15 service bays Premium waiting rooms that feature a refreshment station, kids play area, TV room, and pod workspaces Carwash for internal use on service customer’s vehicles Over 300 parking spaces New Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, & Fiat Vehicles And More! Special thanks to Donut Sam’s for providing individually wrapped donuts for the ceremony and Vintage Sign Shop for printing our sign on display on Oak Avenue. Thank You for Voting! Markquart is proud to be a part of this amazing community, and we are honored to give back to many of the organizations that help keep the Chippewa Valley strong.  For the second year in a row, Markquart let the community decide where we should donate $50,000, and the results were overwhelming.  Over 12,000 community members cast their votes, and over 350 different organizations were voted for. We are excited to announce the winners of Markquart Gives Back 2019! The 2019 recipients are (in no specific order): Pony Tails Refuge and Rehab - Pony Tails provides refuge and rehab for neglected and abused horses. They provide the compassion and training needed to prepare the horses for adoption. Eau Claire County Humane Association - The ECCHA provides medical attention and shelter to homeless animals in the Eau Claire area. They provide humane and loving care to dogs, cats, and other animals until they are ready to be adopted. L.E. Phillips Senior Center - The L.E. Phillips Senior Center provides a welcoming gathering place for individuals ages 50+ who reside in Eau Claire County. The center helps promote independence with access to programming to develop skills to enhance emotional, physical, and social well-being. Chippewa Valley Free Clinic - The Chippewa Valley Free Clinic provides health care and advocacy for individuals with no reasonable healthcare alternative in the Chippewa Valley. Helping Hands for Children in the Chippewa Valley - Helping Hands for Children in the Chippewa Valley provides furniture, toiletries, clothing, and various other items to families and children within the area. Community members can donate good-condition items, and Helping Hands for Children will match them to those in need. Dunn County Humane Society -The Dunn County Humane Society is committed to the prevention of animal suffering in the area. They find permanent loving homes for the animals in their care in a no-kill facility. Feed My People Food Bank - Feed my People has been providing nutritious food to families and individuals throughout west-central Wisconsin for over 30 years. FMP Partners with food pantries, meal sites, and other programs to help those who struggle with food insecurity. Bob’s House for Dogs - Bob’s House provides a loving home for senior and special-needs dogs in the Eau Claire area in a kennel-free environment. Their dogs receive constant love and attention, high-quality food, and the medical care they need. Eau Claire Veterans Services - Eau Claire Veterans Services is a resource that provides for veterans and their families. Resources they provide include education on the benefits and programs veterans are entitled to. Chippewa Humane Association - The Chippewa Humane Association works to relieve the suffering of homeless companion animals by providing care and shelter. They care for the animals and work to find them forever homes, while also educating the community on the proper care of animals. A huge thank you to everyone who voted for their favorite local organization during Markquart Gives Back. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and response from the Chippewa Valley. Voting Ends December 13, 2019 Markquart dealerships are excited to announce Markquart Gives Back for the 2019 holiday season! This year the community will decide where we donate $50,000. The 10 local organizations that receive the most votes will each be receiving $5,000. Valley Pasture Farm The Valley Pasture Farm is located in Elk Mound and is where you’ll want to spend all of your weekends. With a pick your own pumpkin patch, corn maze, spooky trail, and farm animals, they have something for every member of your family! You can save a dollar on admission by bringing a non-perishable food item for donation to Stepping Stones of Dunn County. Fall fun takes place on weekends through October 26 th. Maple Leaf Orchard At the Maple Leaf Orchard in Spring Valley, you can pick apples, feast on homemade desserts, enjoy a seasonal hayride, and much more! Be sure to stop in at the shop for fresh produce, honey, and maple syrup as fresh as it comes. The orchard is open 10-5 daily through October 31 st. Kiptynz Pumpkinz 8-year-old Kiptyn just began his second year of selling pumpkins to benefit Menomonie High School Athletics. In 2018 he raised $1000 and hopes to raise more through the 2019 season. When it comes time to carve pumpkins be sure to visit Kiptynz Pumpkinz, they will be at the Cenex Co-op in Menomonie selling pumpkins through October 18 th. MHS Athletics The Menomonie High School athletic teams have sporting events almost every day of the week. Varsity football games typically take place on Friday nights and are sure to keep you entertained. Keep an eye on the MHS athletics calendar to find out when you can cheer on the Mustangs! Treats on the trail The kiddos are going to jump on the chance to dress up and get candy before Halloween. On October 26 th, the Dunn County Historical Society is hosting Treats on the Trail. Children 12 and under are welcome, and the cost is $3/child. After walking the Lion’s Club Nature Trail and collecting candy, your child will get to take their own pumpkin home! Go Mustangs! The Menomonie High School Homecoming Parade is an annual event looked forward to by local residents. The parade starts at 4 pm on Friday, September 27 th and the route begins on 14 th avenue in Menomonie. This years’ theme is ‘Hollywood’ so expect to see student floats and local businesses decorating for the occasion! Markquart Menomonie team members will be driving through the parade in vehicles decorated to show off our Mustang pride. After the parade, the Menomonie Mustangs will be taking on the Hudson Raiders at the Don and Nona Williams Stadium! Join Us in Welcoming Michael! Michael grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and there he started a career in the automotive industry. After starting in the detail department of another dealership, he later relocated to Menomonie and decided to stay local after starting a family. With over a decade of automotive experience, Michael is excited to be on board as a Sales Consultant at Markquart Menomonie. Michael was drawn to Markquart because of the customer loyalty and recognition within the Chippewa Valley. He is most looking forward to interacting with people and providing them with outstanding service. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors and attending the sporting and music events that his four kids are involved in. He is also a self-acclaimed “cooking maestro.” Hopefully, throughout his time at Markquart, Michael can drive home in his dream car; the all-new Jeep Gladiator. Taking Place August 3, 2019 Menomonie Airfest and Autorama is an annual event that is celebrated in Dunn County. The 2019 festivities include a pancake breakfast, helicopter and plane rides, auto show, aerobatic air show, and so much more. Markquart of Menomonie is excited to be a 2019 Title Sponsor. On top of the air and car show, this event is extremely kid-friendly. Your kiddos will love the Kids Korral featuring a bungee jumper, inflatables, and a special appearance from cars featured in the film CARS. This event also has a variety of vehicles on display to keep the parents entertained. Airfest and Autorama takes place on Saturday, August 3 rd at the Menomonie Municipal Airport.
