The Menomonie High School Homecoming Parade is an annual event looked forward to by local residents. The parade starts at 4 pm on Friday, September 27th and the route begins on 14th avenue in Menomonie.
This years’ theme is ‘Hollywood’ so expect to see student floats and local businesses decorating for the occasion! Markquart Menomonie team members will be driving through the parade in vehicles decorated to show off our Mustang pride.
After the parade, the Menomonie Mustangs will be taking on the Hudson Raiders at the Don and Nona Williams Stadium! Be sure to like us on Facebook for updates on our parade preparation and look out for our Snapchat filter during the parade and the big game.

Meet our New Assistant Service Manager, Garion Skarp
Garion has lived in the Eau Claire area all of his life and started in the auto industry at a small shop in Eau Claire with his stepbrother. Garion was attracted to Markquart because of the strong family values and opportunities to learn and grow throughout his career. For Garion, the best part of his job is the daily challenges he encounters, along with continually interacting with great people.
Garion started with Markquart Motors as a service administrator. His strong work ethic and compassion for customers helped him grow within the company. Garion is excited to join the team at Markquart Menomonie. In his free time, you can catch Garion spending time with his two daughters and enjoying time outside with them. Some of their favorite activities are going to the park, swimming, and taking walks.

Michael grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and there he started a career in the automotive industry. After starting in the detail department of another dealership, he later relocated to Menomonie and decided to stay local after starting a family. With over a decade of automotive experience, Michael is excited to be on board as a Sales Consultant at Markquart Menomonie.
Michael was drawn to Markquart because of the customer loyalty and recognition within the Chippewa Valley. He is most looking forward to interacting with people and providing them with outstanding service. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors and attending the sporting and music events that his four kids are involved in. He is also a self-acclaimed “cooking maestro.” Hopefully, throughout his time at Markquart, Michael can drive home in his dream car; the all-new Jeep Gladiator.

Traffic Awareness Month Celebrated in Menomonie
Stay Safe and Alert while Navigating Menomonie
August is Traffic Awareness Month, and it is a perfect reminder that staying focused and alert while driving is crucial to keep yourself and all the others around you safe. Your new Jeep from Markquart Menomonie has a wide array of features to help enhance the awareness of your surroundings.[1]
Navigating heavy traffic on your daily commute can be stressful. Jeep wants to be a second pair of eyes when it comes to lane changing, single-lane traffic, and possible collisions.
- Blind Spot Monitoring- This alert uses radar-based sensors to alert you when another vehicle is driving in one of your blind zones. This alert flashes on your side mirror to avoid a collision.
- Adaptive Cruise Control- This system automatically adjusts speed to maintain a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. The car may come to a complete stop if a potential collision is detected.[2]
- Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning- This element senses when your Jeep approaches another vehicle too rapidly and audibly and visually alerts you. When alerted, advanced brake assist is enabled, so you stop quicker. If necessary, this feature can bring your vehicle to a full stop.

Taking Place August 3, 2019
Menomonie Airfest and Autorama is an annual event that is celebrated in Dunn County. The 2019 festivities include a pancake breakfast, helicopter and plane rides, auto show, aerobatic air show, and so much more. Markquart of Menomonie is excited to be a 2019 Title Sponsor.
On top of the air and car show, this event is extremely kid-friendly. Your kiddos will love the Kids Korral featuring a bungee jumper, inflatables, and a special appearance from cars featured in the film CARS. This event also has a variety of vehicles on display to keep the parents entertained.
Airfest and Autorama takes place on Saturday, August 3rd at the Menomonie Municipal Airport. Admission to the show is $10, with children 12 and under free. This event is a community favorite, and you don’t want to miss out!
